Meet Kate - she joined PKF Brenson Lawlor as part of the 2026 graduate intake last September and is now a trainee in the firm's Corporate Finance team.
I chose the PKF Brenson Lawlor graduate programme as I thought I would gain a broad and well-rounded experience. I was attracted to the opportunity to work across different engagements, including financial due diligence, business sales and valuations, as well as with a wide range of clients. I have been given the opportunity to work across these areas, which has provided the variety of experience I was expecting.
In my first year in Corporate Finance, I have primarily worked on financial due diligence, business sales and valuations, as well as preparing banking proposals. The role involves analysing financial information, understanding businesses and supporting clients through the different stages of a transaction.
I would recommend the programme to anyone considering applying. You gain first-hand experience of working on transactions from an early stage, while also working towards the ACA qualification. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, giving you the opportunity to learn from them and develop both your technical and commercial skills.
